Elliott Allan Hilsinger: Identity Protection Executive
Elliott Allan Hilsinger is an entrepreneur from Cincinnati, Ohio, who has shaped his career through persistence, practical learning, and responsible decision-making. He graduated in 1995 from the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. After completing his education, he chose to pursue entrepreneurship rather than a traditional corporate role. He committed himself to understanding markets, managing operations carefully, and building ventures with long-term sustainability in mind.
Hilsinger spent the early years of his professional life creating and expanding several small businesses. Over nearly a decade, he worked through the challenges of launching new ventures, refining strategies, and maintaining steady growth. He relied on structured market research and disciplined execution rather than short-term gains. After developing these businesses to stable positions, he decided to sell them, completing a full entrepreneurial cycle that strengthened his experience in business formation, development, and transition.
Elliott Allan Hilsinger experienced a significant turning point in 2009 when he became a victim of identity theft. This event changed his perspective on data security and exposed vulnerabilities in the protection of personal identifying information. Instead of treating the experience as a setback alone, he examined the broader issue and began researching the identity protection industry in depth. He focused on identifying practical solutions that could help individuals and households reduce their risk and better safeguard sensitive information.
Hilsinger founded Guard Well Identity Theft Solutions in 2011 after conducting extensive research and preparing a detailed business plan. Since June 2012, he has served as the company’s CEO, guiding its mission and operations. The organization provides identity management and protection services nationwide, primarily through the employee benefits channel. Under his leadership, the company has received multiple awards and has been recognized for its efforts to help businesses protect employees from the financial and operational consequences of identity theft.
Elliott Allan Hilsinger has also maintained a strong commitment to community involvement and charitable initiatives. He established the “Guard Well Gives Back” program to help nonprofit organizations reach their fundraising goals. He created the COPS Program to offer discounted memberships to law enforcement officers, with a portion of the proceeds directed to charities that assist them. In addition, he launched the VETS Program to extend similar benefits to active and retired military members. Outside his professional responsibilities, he remains active in professional associations, supports community engagement, and enjoys coaching youth sports and participating in swimming and water activities.
